"Umbra" by James Turrell

James Turrell is considered a “magician of light” and has created one of his famous "Shallow Space Constructions" exclusively for Swarovski Kristallwelten (Swarovski Crystal Worlds): Umbra – an accessible light and color installation that appeals to all the senses and is deeply moving. It is currently the only permanent installation of this type of work (Shallow Space) in the German-speaking world.

After all, what would crystal be without the light that makes it shine; that ignites all its magic, brilliance, and perfection? In this extraordinary Chamber of Wonder designed by James Turrell, we are able to practically step inside the very soul of crystal. When entering the light room, please keep to the designated area and do not climb onto the platform.
