Matta Wagnest was born in Styria in 1964. She is a concept artist and musician and creates installations, paintings, and sculptures. After a long hiatus, she returned to the art scene in 2013 with “Soplo,” a cycle of paintings; that same year she received the Award of the City of Vienna.
