Love Gate
The hornbeam belongs to the genus Carpinus and is a member of the birch family. It is considered a tree of life representing perseverance. In spring, its leaves glow as if they had been dipped in brilliant green, while in winter, its appearance is defined by the gnarled and rough character of its wood.
Love Gate was created by the British garden designer Tony Howard. Over the course of his 25-year career, he has designed gardens in Cornwall and Sophie Conran's garden in Wildshire. He is also responsible for planting the park at Swarovski Kristallwelten.
