Im August durften wir in den Swarovski Kristallwelten unsere 15-millionsten Gäste begrüßen. 15 Millionen Menschen aus mittlerweile 60 verschiedenen Nationen machen den Riesen in der kleinen Tiroler Gemeinde Wattens zu einem sehr internationalen Ort. Wir waren in den Swarovski Kristallwelten unterwegs und haben in kurzer Zeit viele interessante Persönlichkeiten aus allen Ecken der Welt getroffen. Dürfen wir euch vorstellen...?

In August we welcomed our 15 millionth guests to Swarovski Kristallwelten. 15 million people, from 60 different nations so far, make the Giant in the little Tyrolean town of Wattens a truly international place. Warum haben Sie heute die Swarovski Kristallwelten besucht?
Wir wohnen momentan für zwei Jahre in Holland, kommen aber ursprünglich aus Saudi-Arabien. Dort ist Swarovski sehr bekannt. Man findet Stores von Swarovski fast in jedem Land und auf jedem Kontinent. Auch in unserem Land gibt es zahlreiche Stores. Es war ein Traum meiner Frau, einmal nach Wattens zu kommen, um den Ursprungsort von Swarovski zu besuchen. Jetzt gerade sind wir auf Urlaub in Österreich und in der Schweiz, da war dies ein Fixpunkt auf unserer Route.

What brought you to Swarovski Crystal Worlds today?
We are living in Holland for two years at the moment, but we come from Saudi Arabia. Swarovski is very well known there. There are Swarovski Stores in almost every country and on every continent. And in our country, there are many Swarovski Stores too. My wife has always dreamed of coming to Wattens, to visit the original home of Swarovski. Since this vacation we are visiting Austria and Switzerland, Wattens was a key point on our route.

Was war Ihr Highlight beim heutigen Besuch?
Gleich zu Beginn finde ich die Wunderkammer Mechanical Theater sehr beeindruckend. Die elektronischen Bewegungen und das Zusammenspiel von Mann und Frau haben mich fasziniert. Jeder Raum ist hier einzigartig und sobald Bewegung im Raum ist, hat das sofort eine ganz andere Wirkung.
In Erinnerung behalten werde ich auch die mit Kristallen verzierten Kleider, die man am Ende der Ausstellung bewundern darf. Die sind wirklich beeindruckend, aber ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob ich die auch tragen würde (schmunzelt).

What has been the highlight of your visit today?
The Mechanical Theatre Chamber of Wonder right at the beginning is really impressive. I was fascinated by the way things move electronically and by the interactions between the man and woman. Each room is unique here, and when something moves that immediately has a completely different effect.
Another thing I will remember for a long time is the gowns covered with crystals that you see at the end of the exhibition area. They are really amazing, but I am not sure if I would want to wear them [she grins].

Warum sind Sie heute hier in den Swarovski Kristallwelten?
Meine Frau war als Kind schon einmal hier. Damals war sie total begeistert und deswegen wollten wir das mit unserer Tochter auch erleben. Momentan sind wir auf Urlaub in Tirol und da hat sich das perfekt ergeben.

What brought you to Swarovski Crystal Worlds today?
My wife came here as a child. She was absolutely thrilled by it then, and we wanted to share that experience with our own daughter too. We are on vacation in Tyrol at the moment and it was the perfect opportunity.

Was hat Ihnen am besten an Ihrem Besuch hier gefallen?
Am besten hat unserer Tochter bis jetzt der Weihnachtsbaum in der Wunderkammer Silent Light gefallen. Dieser funkelt so schön und erinnert sie an den Weihnachtsmann, auf den sie sich jetzt schon wieder freut.

What has been the favorite part of your visit here?
Our daughter’s favorite so far has been the Christmas tree in the Silent Light Chamber of Wonder. The way it sparkles is beautiful and it reminds her of Santa – she is already looking forward to Christmas.

Warum haben Sie heute die Swarovski Kristallwelten besucht?
Wir reisen gerade für zwei Wochen mit einer Reisegruppe quer durch Europa. Unter anderem besuchen wir im Rahmen unserer Reise auch die Swarovski Kristallwelten hier in Wattens.

What brought you to Swarovski Crystal Worlds today?
We are touring Europe for two weeks with a group. Swarovski Crystal Worlds here in Wattens is one of the destinations on our tour.

Was hat Sie am meisten bei Ihrem Besuch hier fasziniert?
In den Wunderkammern hat uns sehr gut gefallen, wie Kristall in Verbindung mit Licht verwendet wird. Das Licht wird in den Kristallen sehr schön reflektiert und es entstehen faszinierende Farbeffekte. Außerdem gibt es zahlreiche Orte, an denen man tolle Fotos machen kann. Unsere beiden Lieblingsfotospots waren der Kristalldom mit den zahlreichen Spiegeln und die Wunderkammer Transparente Opazität mit den verschiedenen Formen von Kristall.

What have you enjoyed the most on your visit?
In the Chambers of Wonder, we loved seeing how crystal and light are used together. The way the light is reflected in the crystals is really beautiful and it creates fantastic color effects. And there are lots of places where you can take great photos. Our two favorite photo spots were the Crystal Dome with all the mirrors, and the Chamber of Wonder called Transparent Opacity, which has lots of different forms of crystal.

Warum haben Sie sich entschieden, die Swarovski Kristallwelten zu besuchen?
Unser Enkel Thomas hat sich das gewünscht und diesen Wunsch konnten wir ihm natürlich nicht ausschlagen.

Why did you decide to visit Swarovski Crystal Worlds?
Our grandson Thomas wanted to come, so of course we could not say no!

Was hat Ihnen am besten an Ihrem Besuch in den Swarovski Kristallwelten gefallen?
Das neue Carousel gefällt unserem Enkel Thomas am besten. Im Riesen findet er den Kristalldom mit dem Echo und den vielen Spiegeln am coolsten. Ein weiteres Highlight waren für uns die Hologramme in der Wunderkammer Heroes of Peace. Generell ist wirklich alles sehr toll eingerichtet und ein Erlebnis für Personen jeden Alters. Kinder, die noch nie in den Kristallwelten waren, kommen aus dem Staunen gar nicht mehr heraus.

What has been the best part of your visit here to Swarovski Crystal Worlds?
Our grandson Thomas likes the new Carousel best of all. Inside the Giant, he thinks the Crystal Dome is really cool, with its echo and all the mirrors. The holograms in the Heroes of Peace Chamber of Wonder were another highlight for us. The whole place is really well designed and a great experience for any age. Children who have never been here before find it an endless source of wonder.

Warum sind Sie heute hier in den Swarovski Kristallwelten?
Wir waren gerade zuhause in Italien und sind jetzt wieder auf dem Weg nach Deutschland, wo wir aktuell wohnen. In den letzten Jahren waren wir schon öfter zum Einkaufen hier, weil der große Swarovski Kristallwelten Store toll zum Shoppen ist und die Berge ein idealer Ort sind, um eine Pause während der Reise einzulegen. Außerdem liebt meine Frau den Schmuck und die Figurinen von Swarovski.

What brought you to Swarovski Crystal Worlds today?
We have just been on a visit home in Italy and are on our way back to Germany, where we are living now. Over the last few years, we have been here several times for shopping, because the big Swarovski Kristallwelten Store here has such a great range, and the mountain landscape makes this the perfect place to break the journey. Also, my wife really loves Swarovski jewelry and the figurines.

Tipp:
Nicht nur unsere Gäste kommen aus allen Ecken der Welt, sondern auch die Künstler, die in den Swarovski Kristallwelten Wunderkammern oder Installationen gestaltet haben. Und auch die Gerichte im Restaurant Daniels Kristallwelten könnten internationaler nicht sein.
