TRANSPARENT OPACITY EXHIBITIONMULTIFACETED MINDSCAPE OF ISRAELI ARTIST AND DESIGNER ARIK LEVYSwarovski Crystal Worlds is – and always has been – a forum for spellbinding art: as part of the “Art in the Giant” program, time and again the Chambers of Wonder collectively morph into stages for surprising new exhibitions. And as of September 28, 2012 the exhibition space gets a fresh new look. Entitled “Transparent Opacity,” Arik Levy fills a Chamber of Wonder with his associations on the theme of crystal. The title of the space – “Transparent Opacity” – points to the confluence of two apparently contradictory aspects of crystal: its transparency and its impenetrability. Levy’s installation is a play on proportions and shapes that viewers can perceive and grasp; it also allows the viewer to interact with it, so that visitors can also become co-creators of the exhibition. A continuation of elements and reflections from the installation can be found in various other locations, including the park at Swarovski Crystal Worlds.
