Oliver Irschitz was born in 1972 in Kufstein/Tyrol and studied architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. He attended the master class of Prof. Timo Penttilä and with Prof. Enric Miralles in Barcelona. He gained his first practical experiences with the architectural firm Coop Himmelblau in Vienna. For a long time he dedicated himself to the development of innovative, interdisciplinary projects showing the interface of material and virtual areas, which incorporated the know-how of artists, psychologists, scientists, technicians and computer scientists. This interest has been illustrated in the context of several of his projects. Oliver Irschitz created an “Ice Passage” at Swarovski Crystal Worlds.
