The Catalan Joan Miró (b. 20.04.1893 in Montroig, d. 25.12.1983 in Palma de Mallorca) was known primarily as a painter, graphic artist and sculptor.
With Salvador Dalí, Miró was one of the most famous representatives of surrealism. As well as colour he uses line as the most important medium of his art. Thus in his »dream paintings« the artist combines fantastic scenarios composed of biomorphic forms with apparently childlike stick figures.
Joan Miró’s “Lebenskreis” (Life Circle) picture was displayed in the Swarovski Crystal Worlds Gallery in 2006.
