Jessye Norman is well known mainly as an opera singer and she is one of the most important voices of the 20th century. Since the 90s the winner of four Grammy awards has been dedicating herself more and more to jazz. The New York Times called her simply »the amazing voice« and the Süddeutsche Zeitung described her as the »mega donna of song«.
