The Australian Helmut Newton (b. 31.10.1920 in Berlin, d. 23.01.2004 in Los Angeles) was a fashion and commercial photographer with German roots.
For a long time Newton worked for the fashion magazine Vogue and revolutionised fashion photography with his erotic style. From the 70s he was one of the most sought after and expensive fashion, commercial and portrait photographers in the world. But it was primarily his nude pictures which made Newton famous.
Helmut Newton’s “Flashing at Cannes Film Festival” was on display at the Swarovski Crystal Worlds Gallery in 2006.
