Hans M. Enzensberger

Hans Magnus Enzensberger was born on 11.12.1929 in Kaufbeuren. Before he actually established himself as a writer he studied literature, languages and philosophy. After working for two years as a radio editor, Enzensberger travelled to the United States and Mexico and published his first volume of poems »Verteidigung der Wölfe« [Defense of the Wolves]. The winner of numerous prizes, Enzensberger is a literary giant who has again and again enriched and renewed the contemporary German literary scene.
