Alois Schild

Born in 1960 in the Tyrol, Alois Schild studied from 1986 to 1990 at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts under Professor Gironcoli.

Schild draws his artistic inspiration essentially from the geographical, geological and Alpine peculiarities of his homeland. However this connection does not lead to the simple imitation of nature in his works, but rather to a critical and intellectual examination of nature which can find expression in his plastic art as a conscious opposition.

In the Crystal Worlds´ Park you can hear and see the »Piano of Nature«, a musical work in steel with which Schild seeks to remind us of nature´s musical diversity.
