Werner Feiersinger was born in Brixlegg, Tyrol in 1966 and studied at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and at the Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastricht. He lives and works in Vienna.
In the park at Swarovski Crystal Worlds, he displays a piece made of two forked branches that slide into one another. A white laminated surface conceals their real material, which is stainless steel. A bronze tube emphasizes the open space. Unlike the branches’ artificial skin, the bronze will slowly change. Werner Feiersinger developed his piece in close collaboration with Swarovski Crystal Worlds. His inspiration came from images of crystalline structures and sculptural interaction with crystal itself.
