Founded in 1999, Blue Noses is made up of Russian artists Viacheslav Mizin and Alexander Shaburov. They focus on photography, video, and performance, usually examining a theme in a critical, ironic way.
The Blue Noses’ “Famos” exhibition has been on display at Swarovski Crystal Worlds since 2010. The duo reinterpreted four architectural masterpieces – the Taj Mahal, the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Empire State Building, and Lenin’s Mausoleum – with a hint of satire. These buildings were recreated in crystal by Swarovski in dimensions never before seen and filled with witty, satirical videos.
